One of the main reasons bitcoin isn’t more widely adopted is because it’s technically difficult to implement. For me to use it quickly and easily, I need my desktop computer. Last time I checked, we didn’t walk around with giant computers on our backs.
But worry not. As time goes on, technology and software updates will make transacting in bitcoin a lot easier. But there’s another problem. Confirmation times are too long or *CAN* take too long. If litecoin (the first altcoin copycat of bitcoin) can reach high adoption rates to COMPLEMENT bitcoin, then we will see ACCELERATED growth in bitcoin and crypto currency adoption rates.
It’s all but guaranteed to occur, the question is how long will it take. I could buy porn with my bitcoin (*ahem* not that I *actually did it) and there are many adult sites like “suicide girls” that also accept bitcoin for payment in lieu of cash or paypal.
Don’t ask how I know as I uh, never bought their services. Yeah.
